Betty J. Auvil

Age 76, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She was born August 14, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of the late George Ross and Arlene (Campbell) Ross Dyer, and was a life resident. Betty had helped her husband in his garage doing office work. She was a former member of Liberty Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ronald G. Auvil, on Oct. 3, 2020.  Betty is survived by a daughter and son, Cathy (Jimmy) Clay, and Ronnie (Tawnya) Auvil, Jr.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Ian) Haldeman, and their son, Zayden, Joseph Auvil, Charles (Breean) Garcia, and their children, Jaylen, Averi, Charli Ann, and Brice, Danielle (Aaron) Culp, and their daughter, Addison, and Daniel Garcia; a sister and brother, Barbara (Vernon) McCauley, and Bill (Peggy) Ross.

A graveside service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in Warstler Cemetery with Pastor Delaney Young officiating.  A Celebration of Life will follow at the Canton Baptist Temple. Please use door P. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Canton Baptist Temple for Debt Retirement and Children's Camp.
