Bessie C. "Bea" Vorhees Age 86, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday evening in Oakhill Manor Care Center in Louisville. She was born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late William and Celeste Menna Costello, and resided here most of her life. Bea was a 1941 graduate of Magnolia High School. She owned and operated Bea's Beauty Shop in Magnolia for 42 years, retiring in 2001. She also worked at the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta over 40 years. Bea was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morges. Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Nick and Mike Costello, Josephine Costello, and Rose Monday. Survived by two daughters, Gale Reed, of North Canton, and Kathie Nesselrode, of Ft. Pierce, FL; one sister, Lee Marino, of Waynesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Vince and Sally Costello, of Overland Park, KS; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in St. Mary's Church Cemetery following cremation.
