Bernard J. "Joe" Belopotosky,
Age 76, of Canton, died unexpectantly at Aultman Hospital from a massive heart attack on Thur., Aug. 28, 2025. He was born Apr. 12, 1949, in Canton, a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Balough) Belopotosky, Sr. Joe was a 1967 graduate of Timken Vocational High School, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from First Energy as a Power Broker.
Joe was married to his soulmate Linda for 48 years. They were a great pair together both loving each other unconditionally but they also really liked each other. Joe and Linda did marriage preparation in the church of young couples and he always told them communication is the most important thing.
He was devoted to his daughter, Mandy and adored his granddaughter, Emmie who was the world to him and papa to her. Joe loved being a mentor to his son-in-law, Jon, as his father-in-law had been to him. He loved spending time with his in-laws Chuck & Eylene, who were his best friends. Chuck and Joe ate breakfast together everyday, solving world problems, etc
Joe was a proud navy veteran serving on the USS Midway. He was a very humble man who was always the smartest person in the village but never acted like it. Joe had a very strong work ethic which served him well in all his years at the electric power companies.
Being 1 of 9 siblings he loved his large family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, always ready with a helping hand or computer problem solving. He valued deeply his many nieces and nephews and was everyone's north star.
Joe loved traveling with Linda and he traveled the United States, wintering in Key Largo, looking for sea glass on Topsail Island, NC. he was a devout catholic and is looking over us all from heaven.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Charles Joseph Hegal; his siblings, Barb McQuaid, Stephen Belopotosky, Jr., Mary Kramer, Richard Belopotosky; his in-laws, Charles and Eylene Cobb; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barb and Jim Houck. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Belopotosky; one daughter, Amanda (Jonathan) Hegal, and their daughter, Emersyn Eylene; two sisters, Rosie Flores, and Betty Snyder; two brothers, Michael (Sue) Belopotosky, and Jim (Paula) Belopotosky; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 11am in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Beneleit as Celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
