Barbara J. Green,
Age 81, of Waynesburg, passed away Fri., Dec. 3, 2021. Born Dec. 6, 1939, in Crellin, MD, a daughter of the late Lee and Wava (Bittinger) Ashby. Barb graduated from Sandy Valley High School in 1957. She was a woman of faith and was a member of Canton Baptist Temple and retired from Superior Dairy as Personnel Director after 38 years of service; previously she had worked at Clarkins for 24 years. Preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruthann and Mike DeDent, her brother, Clinton Ashby, and her sisters, Linda Ashby and Jean-Louise Stevens. Survived by her husband, Richard Green, with whom she celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary on May 14; one daughter, Aimee DiMinno, two sons and one daughter-in-law, David (Sharon) Green and Aaron Green; one brother-in-law, Bob Stevens; one sister-in-law, Barb Ashby; four grandchildren, Scott (Korina) Green, Tina Perry, and Seth and Tyler DiMinno; and two great granddaughters, Alyson and Natalie Perry. Barb was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. A Memorial Service will be held Wed. at 11 am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Jake Tovissi officiating. Graveside Services in Union Cemetery in Louisville.
