Athnee I. "Tee" Pearson,

Age 85, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed., May 17, 2023.  She was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Minneapolis, NC, a daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Grindstaff) Cole.  Tee was a 1956 graduate of Malvern High School. She worked as a hairdresser, an Inspector for the Timken Co. and also worked at Stark Ceramics and Metropolitan Brick.  She was a member of Canton Baptist Temple where she served in the Nursery Department for 25 years, and also in Forever Young, a senior adult ministry.  Preceded in death by her sister, Alverta Roach, and her brother, Marlin Cole.  Survived by her husband, Merle Pearson, with whom she would have celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary on June 16th; brother, Melvin Cole; daughter, Kim Harris; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie (Brian) Burkholder; son, Jeff Pearson; her grandchildren, Corina (Dave) House, and their daughter, Josslyn, Jeff (Becky) Pearson, and their children, Emma, Josie, and Rylie, Jeremy Pearson, Jessica (Cameron) Swett, Justin (Jenny) Burkholder, and their children, Isabella, Olivia, and Zoey, Mark (April) Burkholder, and their children, Sofia, Titus, and Annabelle, and Amber Burkholder.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 am in the Henniger Ministry Center of the Canton Baptist Temple, with Pastor Jake Tovissi and her son-in-law, Pastor Brian Burkholder, officiating.  Internment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Wed., two hours before the service, from 9-11 am, at the church.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
