Arthur R. "Art" Maurer,

Age 75, of Magnolia, passed away Sat., Jan. 18, 2025.  He was born Feb. 1, 1949, in Magnolia, a son of the late Robert and Doris (Schlud) Maurer.  Art was a 1967 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and served with the US Army.  He retired from the Timken Co. as a machinist and served as President of Golden Lodge Local 1123.  Preceded in death by his sister, Susie Bennett, and his brother, Jim Maurer.  Survived by his wife, Rita Maurer; his stepson, Donny Davis; two brothers, Eddie Maurer and Tommy Maurer; and numerous nieces and nephews.  According to his wishes, there will be no services.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
