Obituary

Arlene Fritchley Age 81, of Canton, passed away Monday morning in Windsor Medical Center. She was born in Louisville, OH, a daughter of the late Francis and Harriet (Knop) Marker, resided in the Waco area 47 years, moving to Walnut Creek in 2002, returning to the Canton area four years ago. She and her husband wintered in Port Isabel and South Padre Island, TX for many years. Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Middlebranch High School. She retired in 1982 from Society Bank as a teller, and also had worked at Peoples Bank and Ameritrust. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (now Community Church), and Canton Chapter #190, Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dale R. Fritchley, on Dec. 24, 2005. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and David Beshore, of North Industry, and Cynthia and Mark Fritz, of North Lawrence; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale Fritchley, and Wilbur and Cathy Fritchley, all of Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Lindall Shaffer, of New Waterford, OH; one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Norma Marker, of Louisville; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Lewis Johnston officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
