Antonio S. Gentile Age 83, of Canton, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023.  He was born Dec. 27, 1939 in Sersale, Calabria, Italy, a son of the late Salvatore and Rosa (Perri) Gentile, and came to the United States and Magnolia in 1975.  Tony retired from Republic Engineered Steel where he worked in the Melt Shop. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and he proudly served in the Italian Army. Tony is survived by his wife, Carmela (Logozzo) Gentile, with whom he celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 6th last year; his son and daughter-in-law, Salvatore and Lisa Gentile; two grandchildren, Sam Gentile and Marisa Gentile and her fiancé, Joel Millett; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Giovanna Gentile; and his brother-in-law and his wife, Vince and Julie Logozzo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr.
