Annie R. Bennett Age 78, of Carrollton, passed away Sat. evening in Carroll Golden Age Retreat. She was born in Tarboro, NC, a daughter of the late Theophilus and Sally (Leggett) Moore, and had resided in this area since 2006. Annie was a member of Malvern United Methodist Church. She had served in the U. S. Army as a Nurses Aide. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Bennett, on Jan. 2, 1983. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Melodye Moneypenny, of Magnolia; her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Charles Corra, of Parkersburg, PA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Jack McDonough, of Tewksbury, MA, Joyce Markel, of Bostic, NC, and Barbara Jean Johnson, of Orlando, FL. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Allen Hill officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
