Ann L. Zampino,

Age 69, of Canton, passed away Fri., May 2, 2025.  She was born July 22, 1955, in Canton, a daughter of the late David "Allen" and Dorothy (Weber) Trimbach.  Even though her GIVEN NAME was Ann she preferred to be called Annie.  Ann was a 1974 graduate of Lehman High School and was a member of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.  She retired at a fairly young age from Cedar School as a lunch aide but continued to work as a waitress.  Ann was never on time for any job and shrugged it off as OOPPS; her personality would allow her to get away with that OOPPS.  Her love for flowers always brightened up the neighborhood from the pots on the porch to the various flowers around the house and garden areas.  As an over protective Mother she made sure Megan was never in harm's way.

Preceded in death by her brother, David Trimbach.  Survived by her husband, Ben Zampino, to whom she was married 43 years, despite the fact that people said it would never last; one daughter, Megan Zampino, one stepson, Dominic Zampino, one granddaughter, Alana Williams, three great grandchildren, Zecharia, Gianna and Gabriela Williams; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Fri. at 11am in the Basilica of St. John the Baptist with Fr. David Misbrener as Celebrant.  Interment in St. John Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ann's name may be made to: Basilica of St. John the Baptist, 627 McKinley Ave NW, Canton, OH 44703.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
