Ann Marie McCabe,
63, of North Canton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 27, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Norma and Richard Wareham. A 1978 graduate of GlenOak High School and Kent State University, Ann worked for 23 years in pharmaceutical sales. She was a woman of faith and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Parish.
Ann had a heart for giving back to the community and was dedicated to countless organizations beginning with her children's school activities. Ann most recently served as the cochair for the 2023 Whispering Grace Horses and JRC's Women in History fundraising events. Ann served on the board of the Domestic Violence Project and The Women's Board of Aultman Hospital, including serving as Angel Auction cochair in 2018. Ann also volunteered for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health, Refuge of Hope as well as many other organizations over the years. In addition to her volunteer work, Ann enjoyed golfing, crafting, painting, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Ann's sense of humor, creativity and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ann is survived by her husband, Dr. Michael McCabe; her children Melanie (Ross Wagstaff) Mulig, Mary McCabe, Michael Mulig and SSgt. Benjamin (Shelbi) McCabe; her grandchildren, Theodore and Isabella McCabe, and Row Wagstaff; her sister, Michele Carpenter, and her brother, David (Colette) Wareham.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Parish in North Canton with Fr. John Keehner officiating. There will be no calling hours. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is overseeing arrangements.
Given her years of devoted leadership and service to Aultman Hospital, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Aultman's Timken Family Cancer Center.
