ANN SLOANE LEECH,
Age 94, of Canton, passed away Sun., Mar. 20, 2016. Born in Oxford, OH, a daughter of the late Dwight and Anna (Rose) Sloane, she had been a Canton resident since 1943. She was a 1939 Graduate of Stewart High School in Oxford and a 1943 Graduate of Miami University. Ann retired from Canton City Schools as a secretary in the Maintenance Department, was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, and a 77-year member of Oxford Chapter #225 Order of Eastern Star in Oxford, OH. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nicholson, in 1950 and her brother, Alan Sloane. Survived by her cousin, Carl (Elaine) Rose; and several nieces and nephews, including Gail (Jeff) Munger. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Wing 400 of the Laurels of Massillon and Crossroads Hospice for the love and care they gave to Ann. Services will be held Wed. at 7 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Steven M. Smith officiating. Interment in Oxford Cemetery – Oxford, OH. Friends may call Wed., one hour before the service, from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ann's memory may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685-6227, or Malone College.
