Ann Benedict

Age 90, a resident of St. Luke Lutheran Community, passed away there Monday, May 26, 2014. She was born in Dublin, Ireland, a daughter of the late William and Bridgett (McMullan) Kelly, and had been a Canton resident since 1946.  Ann retired from Blair's Cleaners at 38th St. & Cleveland Ave. NW with 40 years service.  She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church now Christ the Servant Parish.  Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Walter F. Benedict, Sr., on Feb. 25, 1993.  Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Florence and Lowell Ripley, of Massillon, and Kathleen Benedict, of Cambridge; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Walter and Carolyn Benedict, of North Canton, William Benedict, and Michael Benedict, of Canton; 11 grandchildren, numerous  great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano as Celebrant.  There will be no calling hours.
