Obituary

Allan M. "Butch" Villono Age 76, of Canton, went home to be with his family in Heaven on Thursday afternoon at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in West Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Dominick and Rosie (Baxter) Villono, and had been a Canton resident most of his life. In life, he set the example, and instilled in his family, principles which he lived by, such as a hard work ethic, solid traditional values, and unconditional love for his wife, children and grandchildren. "Butch" to some, "Al" to others, took great pride as a professional truck driver, driving 18 wheelers for over 35 years for Lawsons/Dairy Mart. He was the recipient of the National Safety Council Safe Driver Award for most of those years. He loved his den, beer and potato chips, John Wayne Westerns, and the Cleveland Browns. His Italian Heritage set the tone for himself and his family throughout his life. We sadly say goodbye to our"King of the Road". Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Dominick Villono. Survived by his wife, Phyllis D. Villono, with whom he would have celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 22nd; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Jeffrey Allison, and Tracy and Bill Klingaman, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Christy Villono, and Brian and Jennifer Villono, all of Canton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson, Nicholas and Justin Allison, and Kandy (Tim) Dorsey, Allyson Brunner and her husband, Daniel, and their son, William, Melina and Leo Villono, Brian, Nicco, Rocco, and Lucianna Villono; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Judy Villono, of Canton, and Tommy and Louise Villono, of Sistersville, WV. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com. Gordon (330) 456-4766
