Alfred "Dean" McCoy   1950-2015

Age 65, of Canal Fulton, passed away Wed., August 12, 2015, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Alfred W. and Bertha (Slutz) McCoy, and had been a Canal Fulton resident since 1978.  Dean was a 1968 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from the Timken Co. in 2001, where he was a tool and gauge inspector.  He was a member of Saints Philip & James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton.  He loved golfing and bowling, but also enjoyed ice skating, skiing and archery.  Dean was a fan of the Indians, Browns, Cavs and Ohio State.  He was artistic, musical and an awesome euchre player.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Carla Glick, Alice Huth, and Jack McCoy.  Survived by his wife, Mary L. McCoy, with whom he celebrated their 44th Wedding Anniversary on July 3rd;  one daughter, Erin (Thomas) Hall, one son, Eric (Melissa) McCoy, and four grandchildren, Mason, Maya, Aidan, and Anderson; one sister, Linda (George) Czerkies; one brother, Michael (DeAnne) McCoy; and his beloved dog, Rosie.  Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr.
