Alfred H. "Fred" Masuch

Age 77, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018.  He was born June 3, 1940 in Canton, a son of the late Emil and Bertha (Netta) Masuch, and was a life resident.  Fred was a 1958 graduate of McKinley High School.  He retired March 20, 2015 from Ajax Tocco Magna Thermic, where he wired control panels for industrial furnaces. Fred was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member of a Corvette Club, and a train enthusiast of all types and sizes of trains.  He and Barbara took vacations where they could ride trains.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edel "Martha" and Joe Shimko, and Louise and Joe Schiffer.  Fred is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Masuch, with whom he would have celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary on June 26th, one daughter and one son, Deborah (John) Barmess, and Bill Masuch, and two grandsons, Logan and Nate Barmess.  Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark A.
