ALEXANDER B.C. BRENDEL "POPPY",
Age 70, of Canton, passed away Sat. morning in Affinity Medical Center. Born a son of the late Frank and Marian Clark Brendel, Sr., he was a life resident of Canton. Poppy was a 1958 graduate of Lehman High School and was the owner/operator of Brendel Producing with his brother, Frank. He was a member of North Canton Eagles #2223, Canton Elks #68, Greentown V.F.W., and the H.B.P.A. Survived by his wife, Teresa Brendel, with whom he celebrated their 29th Wedding Anniversary on Mar. 3rd; two daughters, Elizabeth Chandler and Misty Barr, both of North Canton; two sons, Alexander Brendel, Jr., and Parrish Howell, both of North Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Patricia Brendel, Jr., of Burkesville, KY; one granddaughter, Sydnee Hanlin; four nieces, Patricia Brendel-Amrein, Charlotte Reed, Lillian Rebstock and her husband Duain, and Francis Fields; and one nephew, Frank Brendel III. Following cremation, a time of remembrance will be held Sat., July 16th from 3-5 p.m. in the North Canton Eagles, 6979 Sunset Strip. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alexander's memory may be made to the Humane Society P.O. Box 7077, Canton, OH 44705, or the Tree of Life Program at the Wilderness Center, PO Box 202, Wilmot, OH 44689. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever, the same.
