Obituary

Alejandro "Chino" Perea, Jr.

Age 69, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, in The Cleveland Clinic.  He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, a son of the late Mercedes Benitez Barrientos, Alejandro Perea, Sr., and Hortencia Perea, and came to the United States when he was eight.  Chino was a retired self-employed auto body technician.  He was an avid golfer playing at Prestwick Country Club and Tam O'Shanter Golf Club.    Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Perea.  Survived by his wife, Rita M. Perea; three daughters, Alexandra Perea, Gina (Jamie) Thomas, and Tamie Perea; three sons, Todd (Tammy)  Leyda, Shane (Sarah) Leyda, and Ricco (Shelly) Perea; eight sisters, Maria Esther Benitez Perea, Rita Benitez Perea, Rachel (William) Lowes, Mary (Juan Manuel) Esquivel, Dora (Roberto) Rodriguez, Guillermina "Mina" (Michael) Lavers, Margaret (Arturo) Flores, and Yolanda (Oscar) Martinez; two brothers, Louis (Melena) Perea, and Mario (Angie) Perea; and 12 grandchildren.  Services will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Fr. Joseph Zamary and Rev. Steven M.
