Adair Farber Locker

Age 95, of Massillon, passed away Sat., Feb. 18, 2023.  She was born March 24, 1927 in Mineral City, OH, a daughter of the late Donald and Thelma (Bremer) Farber, and had been a resident of the Canton/Massillon area since 1971.  Adair retired in 1992 from Citizens Savings after 20 years' service where she was Real Estate & Property Manager.  Previously she was employed by the Timken Co. in New Philadelphia for 17 years.  Following her retirement, she became Regional Property Director for DeVille Properties for six years, retiring again in 2002.  Adair was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, which she served as Treasurer and Council Member.  She also was a member of Bolivar Chapter #368, Order of Eastern Star, the Stark County Board of Realtors, Executive Property Managers Association, and the National Business Women's Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Locker, on Sept. 20, 2005, her daughter, Sherry Locker Green, and a brother, Orris Farber.  Adair is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Linda Locker, three grandchildren, Chad (Diane) Green, Whitney (Paul) Aebker, and Kelly Locker (Patrick Giguere); three great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, Kyle (Kelly) Green, and their children, Michael, Ross, Henry, Seth, Justin, and Will, Cory Green, Kelsey (Brett) Zernechel, and their children, Jillian and Sadie; two nephews and a niece who were very special to Bob and Adair, Barry, Mark and Carol Farber; and three Sacco cousins, Peggy, Gary, and Doris.

Services will be held Sat., Feb. 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. in Grace Fellowship Church with Rev. Keith Stephens officiating.  Friends may call Sat. from 12-1 p.m. at the church before the service.  Eastern Star Services will be held at 11:45 a.m.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville, OH.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
