Marguerite Schwab

Age 92, of North Canton, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, in St. Luke Lutheran Home.  She was born in Piedmont, Belmont Co., OH, a daughter of the late Lester and Flora (Shotwell) Fisher, and had been a North Canton resident since 1955.  Marguerite was a 1940 graduate of Uhrichsville High School, and attended Office Training School in Columbus, and Safford Business College in New Philadelphia.  She had worked at The Timken Co., Weber Dental Mfg. and the Ravenna Arsenal.  Later on she worked for Frease & Bishop Patent Attorneys for a number of years, and the City of Canton where she was Assistant Service Director.  Marguerite was a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton where she was the first organist and played for many years, and also had played at a number of other churches.  She was a member of the United Methodist Women.  Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert F. Schwab, on July 14, 2002, and a sister, Edna Jane Stahlheber.  Survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Claudia Schwab, of Florence, SC, John and Annie Schwab, of North Canton, and Mark and Anne Schwab, of Hilliard, OH; one sister, Vera and Don Marchbank, of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren and four great-grandsons, Heather (Paul) Poston, and their sons, Nicholas and Shafer, Jason (Lauren) Schwab, and their sons, Hayden and Parker, Dustin, Zachary, Tanner, and Chloe Schwab.  A Memorial Service will held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Kara Stultz Costello and Rev. Tom Douce officiating.  Friends may call one hour before the service.  Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
