Sarah C. Gruber
Age 96, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 13, 1922 in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Pariano) Nardo, and was a life resident of this area. Sarah was a 1940 graduate of Waynesburg High School. She was retired from TRW where she worked on molds in the wax room. Sarah was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and spent her winters in Florida for many years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Gruber, on Jan. 13, 2007, and six siblings. Sarah is survived by three daughters and two sons, Gayle Krepps, Gean Carson, Glenda Drews, Gary Gruber and Greg Gruber; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Elsass and a brother-in-law, Jack Gruber. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sarah’s memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W.
