Mary K. “Peg” Weldon
Age 96, of Canton, died Monday Jan. 14, 2019, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born Oct. 30, 1922 in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Madeline (Nichols) Clark, and had been a Canton resident since 1963. Peg was a 1941 graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, KY. She had been a long-time volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and a member of New Neighbors/I.M.P.S. Peg enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader, and she and her husband loved to travel and go dancing. She also collected carousel horses. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George H. Weldon, on Dec. 17, 1998, and a brother, Jack Clark. She is survived by three daughters and three sons, Gail Weldon, Dana Miyamoto, Kara (Larry) Vogt, Jr., Mark (Patricia) Weldon, Kurt (Ronni) Weldon, and Paul Weldon; one niece, Sue Bishop; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours or services.
