JAMES D. WALLIN,
Age 59, of Magnolia, passed away Sun. June 24, 2018. Born in Paintsville, KY, a son of the late Bob and Jeanie (Mayes) Wallin of Flat Gap, KY, he had been a resident of the Sandy Valley area for 25 years. James was a 1977 graduate of Johnson Central High School and retired from Marathon Petroleum after 30 years of service as a maintenance planner. He was a member of New Vine Baptist Church in Malvern, where he served as a Deacon. Survived by his wife, Teresa (Blanton) Wallin, with whom he celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 21st; four daughters and sons-in-law, Charity and Ike Winters, Jaime and Terry Chester, Emily and Kory Clark, and Katie Wallin; one sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Richard Cassady; one brother, Glen Wallin; and five granddaughters, Alison and Gracyn Winters, Shelby and Chloe Chester, and Kacey Clark. Services will be held Fri. at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, with Rev. John Meade and Pastor Steve Gilreath officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
