Irene Sacco

IRENE M. SACCO,

Age 72, of North Canton, passed away Sat., July 8, 2017.  Born in Amache, CO, a daughter of the late Masao and Helen (Goto) Ishihara, she had been a resident of North Canton for 48 years and was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ.  After attending college Irene worked as a civil servant with the U.S. Army assigned to the Provost Marshall’s office at Ft. Ord, CA and later worked with the military in Viet Nam. She later worked in customer service for the Hoover Co., the Canton Chamber of Commerce, Fitness Quest, Alpha Enterprise and retired from Invue Security.  Preceded in death by her brother, George Ishihara.  Survived by her husband, Gary Sacco, with whom she would have celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 31st; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Anthony Molea; one son, Troy Sacco; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Alice and Richard Takahashi, and Linda and Eugene Wing; two brothers, Don and Bill Ishihara; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Ishihara; seven grandchildren, Melany, Morgan, Molly, Miya, Kyley, Dylan, and Charley Faye; one great granddaughter, Zoey and one great grandson on the way, Nico; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held Fri. at 6 p.m. in the Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Dennis Coy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. in the church.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
