Hoyt T. Skelton
Age 69, of Mineral City, passed away Friday December 7, 2018. He was born September 23, 1949 in Waynesboro, TN, a son of the late Enes and Lucille (Kilburn) Skelton, grew up in Massillon, and resided most of his life in the Mineral City area. Hoyt was a 1968 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He and his wife had owned and operated the T V Tavern in Mineral City for over 30 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant grandchildren, Margaret Mae, Lauren Olivia and Jackson Taylor Kaput. Hoyt is survived by his wife, Velma J. (Crone) Skelton, with whom he celebrated their 43rd Wedding Anniversary on August 16th; two daughters, Inglish (Gregory) Kaput, and Taylor (Bobby Denczak) Skelton; five grandchildren, Kayla, Isabella, and Jackson Kaput, Layla Carpenter, and Mya Denczak; two sisters and one brother, Linda (Jerry) Renfro, Doris Kazmierczak, and Tom (Laura) Skelton. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Josh McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.
