Charles F. Abbott, Magnolia, Ohio
It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Frederick Abbott, Sr. announces his passing on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the age of 81.
Chuck is lovingly remembered by his son, Charles F. Abbott, Jr., and daughter-in-law Teresa Abbott, grandchildren Kyle and Katrina Abbott (Crown City, OH); and his daughter, Deborah A. Borland, grandchildren Rachelle (Canton, OH) and Scott Borland (Cleveland, OH).
Chuck was born Dec. 11, 1936 in Arnold City, PA. He attended Bethlehem Joint High School, Fredericktown, PA. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for and retired from the Diebold Company in Canton, OH after 31 years as a skilled bank vault door builder and other positions. He was a hobby farmer for most of his life raising black angus cattle. He enjoyed traveling, swimming, antiquing as well as fishing, spending time with his family, history, reading and Sudoku puzzles. He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau.
Survived by his sisters: Martha Fleming (Minerva, OH) and Linda Sebald (Lake City, FL). Charles was predeceased by his parents John David Abbott, Janet S. (Hines) Abbott, and his brothers Donald R. Abbott (Mechanicstown, OH), John D. Abbott (Magnolia, OH) and sisters Violet Fern Abbott (Minerva, OH) and Emma Davis (Waynesburg, PA).

Services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Derek Oesch officiating. Friends may call Wed. 3-4 p.m. before the service.
Family and friends are welcome for dinner and fellowship immediately following services at Sandy Valley Baptist Temple, 530 Elson St., Magnolia, OH.
