Bettie Jane (Alleman) Vanderhill

BETTIE JANE ALLEMAN VANDERHILL,

Age 85, longtime resident of Wooster, OH, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017.  She was born July 20, 1932, in Millersburg, PA to Fred and Reba Alleman.  At the age 0f 3, her birth mother died.  Her father then married Gladys (Fatzinger) Alleman, who was her dearly loved and respected stepmother.  She served six years in the Air Force as a photographer and felt privileged to serve her country.  Jane cherished and loved spending time with her family and had a wonderful gift of hospitality.  Her kindness and generosity were extended to anyone she met.  She had a genuine faith in Jesus that she passed on to her children and grandchildren which has left behind a legacy of faithful believers.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Thelma Geist, and her great grandchild Judah Williams.  She is survived by her brother, Fred (Melody) Alleman; her son, Bryan (Karen) VanderHill and their daughters Reagan and Kelsey; her daughter, Carol (David) Williams, and their children Josiah (Shelby) Williams Sarah (Gabe) Hancock, Jeremiah (Wendy) Williams, Hannah (Seth) Wenger, Jasmine Williams and Jessie Williams; and her daughter, Colleen (Mark) Bankert and their children, Rebecca, Joel, and Joshua; and her great grandchildren Noah, Lincoln, Coraline, Isaiah, Isabel, Lydia, Abigail and Levi.  There will be a private family service in Canton followed by a Celebration Service and burial in Millersburg, PA.  The family would like to thank the House of Loreto for their loving and gentle care of their mother and grandmother this past year.  Truly, they were the hands and feet of Jesus.
