Thomas Stoner Obituary

Thomas W. Stoner lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.  Born to the late Alice Stark and Wilbur Stoner, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Stoner and his sister, Carol Scarpino.  Surviving sisters include Susan (&Tom) Beattie, Wendy Huguenot, Paula Lint, and brother, Dale (& Jean) Stoner.  After graduating from Lincoln High School, he went on to become a Viet Nam Vet.  After returning home, he opened his own flooring business, and still retired from The Timken Co.  Known as the “Shaker Maker”, he was the proud creator of beverage can salt & pepper shakers that he loved selling at craft shows and flea markets.  The things he was most proud of were being with his wife Linda for fifty years, his two sons, Shawn (& Sharon) and Adam (& Amanda), three beautiful grandchildren, Missy, Willem, and Olivia, and three wonderful fur babies.  He loved playing golf, the camaraderie of his fellow Lake P’NA members, and playing euchre with his friends on Wednesdays.  Very competitive and an extremely hard worker, he never wanted to lose.  He will be missed immensely.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
