Raymond E. Moore
Age 87, of Canton, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018. He was born May 2, 1930 in Canton, a son of the late George and Arreba (Hoy) Moore, and was a life resident. Ray was a 1948 graduate of Timken High School. He had been a tool designer for Air Craft Braking Systems, and also had worked at Republic Steel Corp. He was a lover of cars and restored antique Fords. Ray was a life-long member of the Antique Automobile Club of
America, and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a special aunt, Eula Moore, and a brother, Merlin Moore. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moore; a daughter and son, Barbara Heidy and her fiancé, Bruce Ady, and Donald (Linda) Moore; a daughter-in-law, Darlie Moore; step-children, Doug, Cindy, Jeff, and Matt; grandchildren, Jenna and Jacob Moore, Mike Salewsky, and Frank Heidy, and great-grandchildren, Aubree, Carter, and Skyler; one brother, Tom (Chris) Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wed. at 2 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Mark A. Williams officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Wed. from 1-2 p.m. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Meadow Wind Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for the love and care they gave to Ray.
