Welcome to the memorial page for

Patricia Kalkman

April 16, 1972 ~ July 7, 2017 (age 45) 45 Years Old

Patricia "Tricia" Lynn Kalkman passed peacefully in her parent’s home on July 7, 2017 in Canton, Ohio at the age of 45, after a two year battle with breast cancer.  Tricia was born on April 16, 1972 in Canton, Ohio to Cathy Mannos and Rod Kalkman. She attended St. Paul’s Catholic School in North Canton, graduated from Canton Central Catholic in 1990 and attended the University of Cincinnati and Walsh University where she earned her degree in Psychology. She was an outspoken, generous and witty gal who loved to travel and was quite passionate about the political climate of the U.S. and the world. Tricia could befriend anyone she met within minutes.  She loved to make people laugh and was one of the most beautiful people you could ever meet, both inside and out. She had a smile (and dimples) that will live in our hearts forever. She lived her life to the fullest, loved to dance to Reggae music, traveled abroad and ultimately settled in San Diego fulfilling her dream to live on the beach. Our family is grateful for the outpouring of so many friends and family who visited/contacted our family these last few weeks. It’s obvious she touched many lives along the way and will live on in all of our memories.  Tricia is survived by her parents, Cathy and James Mannos and Rod and Roseann Kalkman of Canton, OH and siblings, Michelle (Lee) Horning of Big Sky, MT, Leigh (Tobias) Holleman of Bozeman, MT, Krysti (Jake) Murray of Columbus, OH, grandfather Samuel Kalkman of North Canton, OH, nephew, Andrew Holleman of Bozeman, MT, nieces Ivy Hicks of Big Sky, MT and Sierra Holleman of Bozeman, MT as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and amazing friends throughout Canton, Cleveland, Cincinnati, San Diego, Montana, across the US and in Amsterdam. She is preceded in death by her best friend Shannon Dick of North Canton, grandmothers Elizabeth Culp of Canton, Eileen Kalkman of North Canton, grandfather Clarence Culp of Canton, and Aunts Sue Culp of Canton and Sharon Kalkman of North Canton.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 11th at 10:00am, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton, OH with Fr. Daniel Finnerty as Celebrant.  Interment in Calvary Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tricia's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Tricia’s name to Cancer charities who seek to find what causes cancer and how to prevent it, as these efforts are underfunded and so needed. The family would like to thank Dr. Xavier of San Diego, Dr. Trehan of Aultman Hospital and the Aultman Hospital and Hospice staff for their care and dedication. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
