Matthew Murnane

MATTHEW K. MURNANE,

Age 47, of Decatur, GA, passed away Mon., Feb. 12, 2018 following a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. Matt had a gift of mentoring many young people over the years. Matt was known for his great sense of humor, his passion for tennis and people and most of all his love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.  "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1. Born in North Canton, a son of the late Joseph and Patricia (Wey) Murnane, he was a 1988 graduate of McKinley High School.  Preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie Mierau and Molly and Mary Murnane, and his father-in-law, Giles Solomon.  Survived by his wife, Sandi Murnane, with whom he would have celebrated their 15th Wedding Anniversary on July 18th; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Peggy Taylor, Kitty (Craig) Wright, Terri (Brian) Gladysz, and Tricia (Robbie) Marchesani; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael (Wendy) Murnane, Kevin (Jane) Murnane, Joe (Laura) Murnane, Denny (Cathie) Murnane, John (Cynthia) Murnane; his mother-in-law, Betty Solomon, and two sisters-in law Sherri (David) Ellgass and Staci (David) Wright as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat. Feb. 17th at 11 am at Trinity Baptist Church in North Canton with Pastor David J. Wright officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Matt’s honor may be made to: Trinity Baptist Church (in memo: For Youth Activities), 1211 E.
