Lois M. Stratton
Age 100, of Magnolia, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Emmett and Elva (Diver) Close, and was a life resident. Lois was a 1934 graduate of Magnolia High School, and was retired from Stern & Mann, after many years as a saleslady in the Ladies Accessories Department. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she played the organ. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles Stratton, on August 26, 1972, and she was the youngest of five sisters and two brothers who also preceded her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Bart Cable, of Alexandria, VA, and her son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Sharon Stratton, of Magnolia; four grandchildren, Catherine Cable, Barry Cable, Michael (Tiana) Stratton, and Katherine (Scott) Sieverts; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, Lauren (Jason) Wald, and their children, Gracelynn and Jonah, Mikala, Alicia, and Maija Stratton, Zachary and Kaitlin Sieverts. Private services will be held in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor J. Andrew Riggs officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
