Linda S. Hill   1956 - 2016

Age 60, of North Canton, went home to be with her lord, Sat., Dec. 3, 2016, following an extended illness.  She fought long and hard against the disease that so drastically affected and ultimately shortened her life.  She was born April 4, 1956 in Canton, and was a life resident.  Linda was a 1974 graduate of Timken High School.  She was employed at Canton Orthopedics (Spectrum) for over 25 years as an X-ray Technician, until her condition forced her to early retirement.  Linda attended the Cathedral of Life, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, knitting and crocheting, and watching high school sports.  She was preceded in death by her beloved father, William Huntsman.  She is survived by her former husband and good friend, Kurt Hill; her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Libby” and Daniel Parker and two granddaughters, Lauren Clark and Hazel Parker, all of North Canton; her mother and step-father, Frances (Burghy) and Pearl Ackley, of Columbus; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Lisa Huntsman, of Canton, and John and Lauree Huntsman, of North Canton, a niece and two nephews, Jennifer, Adam, and Jonathan, and numerous Hill brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Services will be held Wed. at 7 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Gammill officiating.  Friends may call Wed. 5-7 p.m. before the service.  Everyone who knew Linda quickly learned what a special, caring, loving person she was and she will be truly missed by all.  Though her tragic disease ended her life, it never ended her love for life, and she lived every day to its utmost.  Linda always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement for everyone she knew.  May she suffer no more and may her memory be eternal.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory may be sent to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.  Condolences may be sent to: gordonfuneralhomes.com
