Joe W. McCoury
Age 61, of Mineral City, passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018. He was born Oct. 17, 1956 in Canton, a son of the late Wesley and Revonda (Hilton) McCoury, and resided in the Mineral City area all his life. Joe was a 1975 graduate of Tusky Valley High School. He was retired from Union Metal Mfg. Co. and previously worked at White Motors where he was a machinist. Joe enjoyed looking for arrowheads and ginseng. But his prize possession was his 1932 B Body Ford Coupe. He is survived by his friend and former wife, Tammy McCoury; one daughter, two sons, and two grandchildren, Maddison McCoury, Jonathan McCoury, and Christopher (Vanessa) McCoury, and their children, Carson and Ashtyn; four sisters and two brothers, Margaret McCoury, Linda (Kenneth) Ross, Nagatha Kienzle, Judith Williams, Daniel McCoury, and Roger (Terry) McCoury; numerous nieces and nephews, including Joey Kienzle and Naomi McCoury, who were really close to him; and he also will be missed by a good friend, Peggy. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Karma Burton officiating.
