Gerald R. Patterson

Age 66, of Sandyville, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital.  He was born in Carrollton, a son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Tope) Patterson, resided in Sandyville since 1981, previously Carrollton most of his life.  Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Carrollton High School and 1967 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.  He had received his Airplane and Power Plant Inspection Authorization.  He was a 15 year employee of Aitheras Aviation at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, where he had been Director of Maintenance and also was in Quality Control.  Jerry just received a 45 Year Award for no accidents for the airplanes he maintained all those years.  He was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara C. Patterson, with whom he celebrated their 32nd Wedding Anniversary on May 9, 2013; two daughters, Katherine Patterson and her fiancé, John Weisburn, of Magnolia, and Molly Patterson, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Brianna Patterson of East Sparta; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Ronald Clark, and his twin brother and sister-in-law, James and Beverly Patterson, all of Carrollton; also numerous nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev.
