CLARENCE L. BLASIER,
Age 93, of North Canton, passed away Mon., June 12, 2017. Born in Louisville, a son of the late Ralph and Louise (Baker) Blasier, he graduated from Louisville High School. Clarence proudly served in World War II, under General Patton and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, with the 55th Armored Infantry Battalion, 11th Armored Division. He was a longtime and founding member of The Chapel in North Canton, President and Founder of Bethesda Outreach Ministries, and developed a memory association course and educational program for children. Clarence was Ohio State President and National Vice President of the Jaycees, Sales Director for Damon Chemical Company, and President of Ohio Natural Gas Company. Preceeeded in death by his wife, Nina Blasier, his brother Dean and his sister Lydia. Survived by his children, Mark Blasier, Randy (Cyndy) Blasier, Sandra (Tony) Durieux, Jerry Takis, and Mike Takis; his grandchildren, Tony Durieux Jr., Sean (Shelly) Durieux, Scott (Marcie) Durieux, Ashley (Justin) Sheaffer, Lauren (Jeff) Jefferson, Kendyl Blasier, Sarah (Ambrosia) Blasier-McCollum, KatieTakis, Nick Takis, Josh (Jill) Takis, and numerous great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all of Clarence's good friends for their loving support, especially Pattie and Rick Anderson, Mike Heppler, and Crystal Michaels. We would also thank all the various nurses and doctors at Aultman Hospital and the aids and staff at the Veterans Administration for their kind, compassionate care. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Johnston officiating. Interment in North Canton Cemetery.
